There are currently four types of electronic highway vignettes in Slovakia, which differ in terms of their validity period. Drivers can therefore choose the type of vignette that best suits their plans and travel style:
1-day vignette – valid only on the day you choose. Particularly suitable for one-off or transit journeys through Slovakia.
10-day vignette – valid for 10 consecutive calendar days. Ideal for short stays, vacations, or business trips.
30-day vignette – valid for 30 days from the selected date. Practical for drivers who drive regularly during a certain period.
365-day vignette – valid for exactly 365 days from the start of validity, regardless of the calendar year. The most advantageous option for those who use the motorways throughout the year.
These vignettes are valid not only for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons, but also for trailers if the total weight of the combination exceeds 3.5 tons – in this case, a vignette must also be purchased for the trailer.
The electronic vignette is linked to the vehicle registration number (EČV) and does not need to be physically affixed to the vehicle. Its validity can be verified online at any time.
New conditions for the use of Slovak highway vignettes came into effect on January 1, 2025. The most significant change is the introduction of a one-day vignette (1/D), which offers a flexible solution for drivers on short trips. The amount of time-based fees has also changed, and adjustments have been made to the control system. Drivers should check whether these changes apply to them and adjust their purchasing habits accordingly.
Purchasing an electronic highway vignette is easy and takes only a few minutes. Simply select the type of vignette, enter the vehicle registration number and country of registration, select the validity date, and make the payment. The system will send a confirmation email. We recommend checking the accuracy of the information before confirming the payment to avoid errors.
All two-track motor vehicles up to and including 3.5 tons must have a highway sticker. If the vehicle is towing a trailer and the total weight of the combination exceeds 3.5 tons, a vignette must also be purchased for the trailer. Exceptions may apply to vehicles with special status or holders of exemption certificates.
Before traveling on Slovak highways, check the validity of your electronic vignette. Keep your payment confirmation with you and check the technical condition of your vehicle. It is important to monitor current traffic restrictions and weather conditions. We recommend using official information sources and planning your route in advance.

We offer various online payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and QR code payments, and we also provide extended customer support in several languages. In addition, we will notify you when your vignette is about to expire so that you can drive without worry.
As a registered entity and agent on your behalf, we will secure the required vignette from the National Highway Company (NDS). We charge a service fee for this service, which is already included in the total price of the order. The total prices therefore include the statutory time fee according to Act No. 639/2004 Coll. on NDS and our service fee. Specifically
1-day vignette: €18.00 (time fee €8.10 + service fee €9.90),
10-day vignette: €24.00 (time fee €10.80 + service fee €13.20),
30-day vignette: €34.00 (time fee €17.10 + service fee €16.90)
and 365-day vignette: €119.00 (time fee €90.00 + service fee €29.00).
The state e-shop is the eZnámka.sk portal, and electronic vignettes are issued by the National Motorway Company (NDS) – the body responsible for their administration.
